I’m getting really fucking tired with people going on and on and fucking on about whitewashing. I don’t care about color. Everyone would have still bitched that they didn’t get the “right” color. Benedict played a great villain….

Lol, white people. You insult and minimize the concerns of numerous races of people on a racist issue that should have been solved decades ago, but get sensitive when someone says “white people.”

I’m talking about one part in one movie. Not any race. I don’t speak for my entire race. I get sensitive when someone says white people because there is an entire side of tumblr that hates white people. I personally don’t care what color your skin is. You could be fucking magenta for all I care. I care about a persons personality and attitude. 

Benedict is white? Yes. Benedict is a skilled actor? Yes. Benedict played the part well? Yes. In my opinion. 

And I get sensitive around white-washing and white people who love to excuse it just because their favorite white actors take part in it and it makes their precious little tumblr fandom just little uncomfortable. I also get sensitive when a movie from 2013 has made less progress on race and gender issues than one made in the 60s.

Sorry, I didn’t realize that every single movie that has ever been made or will be made needs to make progress for people of color. I didn’t know that. Thank you for clarifying that to me.
And I don’t mean that sarcastically. White people don’t “make progress” so I didn’t know. My apologies.
